Glen Helen!
by: Cropley | Monday, May 26, 2008
The first round of the Outdoor Motocross series was this weekend at Glen Helen! Pumped to get things started and see everyone out there battling for 30 + 2 x 2 again!

- etnies/Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy's Jason Lawrence came out swinging in the first moto of the year with the holeshot! Lawrence held the lead for the whole moto even with some heavy pressure from the Pro Circuit guys behind to take the win. In the second moto Lawrence didn't get as good of a start and ended up 5th for 3rd place overall on the day.

- Lawrence way out front in the first moto as he passes under the Ron Paul propaganda.

- Nico Izzi rode well in moto 1 for 8th place, but unfortunately a DNF in moto 2 relegated him to 13th overall.

- Timmy Ferry had a consistent weekend, scoring 4th in both motos for 4th overall. In the second moto it looked like Red Dog was going to make a pass on Millsaps for third place, but a tip over with only a couple laps to go put that to rest. Look for Red Dog to come out next weekend ready for a podium!

- The start of 250F Moto 1...

- Zack Osborne had a rough weekend. He crashed in the first moto and appeared to have injured his wrist. Bummer.

- Jason Lawrence

- Deegan was out there signing autographs and pumping up the CORR series that he's now racing trucks in.

Welcome André Villa!
by: Alex | Tuesday, May 20, 2008
etnies proudly welcomes Norwegian FMX pro André Villa to its European Team. Villa, currently ranked no 1 on the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships series, has had a very strong start to 2008 taking home first place at the FIM WC events in Liberec Czech Republic, Graz Austria and most recently at the FIM NOTJ, Basel Switzerland on the 16th of May.

Born and raised in Norway, Villa raced motocross for 15 years before switching to FMX. To further his FMX career, Villa moved to Torrevieja, Spain where he now owns a World class year-round training compound. After a rough 2007 plagued by injuries, he's definitely making a comeback thanks to his training; Villa has been hard to beat in the last month’s events with his trademark underflip and perfected Tsunami flip.

“We are really happy to have Villa represent our European team and think he fits the etnies bill perfectly. With his signing we are further putting our mark on the FMX scene and adding another great name to the etnies Moto X rooster,” says Jenny Ahnell, etnies European marketing manager.

Journeys Backyard BBQ Photos
by: Alex | Thursday, May 15, 2008
Last Saturday was our day in Dallas and it was a hot one! Lucky for those Texans, the triple digit heat and scorching sun didn't stop the etnies team from heating things up even more at the Journeys Backyard BBQ.

Lauren, Eric and Kyle all love media interviews at 7am... especially when the interview is with this guy.
Texas is Eric Fletcher's favorite state.

Kyle Leeper still likes squirrels.

The ladies love Ryan Sheckler.

While dodging Sheckler fans' panties, Morgan Wade fires out one of his trademark high and mighty flairs.

Las Vegas Supercross!
by: Cropley | Monday, May 5, 2008

- Lawrence rockin' the 1w for the Vegas fans!
We headed out to Vegas over the weekend for the AMA Supercross finale to hang out and snap a few photos. Actually, it's just a good excuse to party on the company dime with minimal work involved. Please enjoy the fruits of our labor.
Timmy Ferry ended up 6th overall in the long Supercross Series. Ferry was a threat for some wins early in the season until a practice crash sidelined him for 3 races.
If not for those missed races no doubt Timmy would have been battling for a top 3 overall finish.
etnies' Nico Izzi got on the Championship podium in his rookie year as a pro in Supercross. 3rd place overall in the competitive East Coast Lites race is damn good! Congrats!
After scoring 0 points at Anaheim 2 when he stalled his bike and couldn't get it restarted, etnies/Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy's Jason Lawrence locked up the title the week before Vegas in Seattle, and is now the AMA Supercross Lites West Coast Championship! Congrats Lawrence!
Here are a few photos from Vegas, with a ton more from the 2008 season in the Supercross Photo Gallery! With Supercross over, the Nationals start in just a couple weeks at Glen Helen...
