Langston Wins Overall and Takes Points Lead!
Posted by: Cropley | Monday, August 27, 2007
Grant Langston took a hard-fought overall win over the weekend at Steel City, his first ever 450F class win! The win shot Langston to the top of the overall championship points standings, but with only 2 rounds to go the top 4 guys are within 10 points of one another! This is madness and the championship is up for grabs...but we're putting our money on Langston or Ferry!

As for Tim Ferry, he had a rough go at Steel City. Going into the race Ferry was tied for 1st place. A mediocre start had Ferry finishing 4th in moto 1, but a fall on the start of moto 2 left Ferry in the back of the pack with a lot of ground and points to make up. Ferry made it all the way back up to 7th for 5th overall and dropped down to 3rd in the points standings...but he's still very much in the hunt!
Two rounds left...this is gunna be good!
- Grant Langston (347 points/1 win) etnies
- Andrew Short (345)
- Tim Ferry (343/1 win) etnies
- Mike Alessi (337)

Grant Langston 2nd Overall at Millville!
Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, August 14, 2007
Congrats to Grant Langston for taking 2nd overall at the Millville outdoor national over the weekend! Langston went 2-2 in both motos to finish right behind RC in his final AMA Motocross race. After this solid showing Langston now sits 3rd in the overall championship points, only 11 points back from the leaders.

As for the leaders, Tim Ferry is now one of them! With the absence of James Stewart it's a free-for-all for the championship. After a couple disappointing motos at Millville (8-6), Ferry lost a little ground and is now tied for 1st place overall with Andrew Short. Look for Ferry to come out swinging at Steel City to keep that 1st place position. And you can count on Langston to give it his all to make up those 11 points and more! Good luck guys!
Motocross Overall Standings
- Tim Ferry (311 points/1 win) etnies
- Andrew Short (311)
- Grant Langston (300) etnies
In the Lites, SoBe/Samsung Mobile/Honda's Jake Weimer finished 6th overall (10-6) while swapping moto finishes with teammate Josh Grant who took 7th overall (6-10).

Motocross Lites Overall Standings
- Ben Townley (404 points/5 wins)
- Ryan Villopoto (402/3 wins)
- Josh Grant (312/1 win) etnies
- Ryan Dungey (267)
- Jason Lawrence (258) etnies
- Jake Weimer (188) etnies
Millville also marked the entrance of a couple top amateur riders into the professional ranks. Both of whom happen to be rocking etnies, and both killed it in their first weekend. Trey Canard of the Sobe/Samsung team crashed out of moto 1 but came back strong in moto 2 to finish 4th in his first pro race!

Nico Izzi is on a Makita/Suzuki and had a consistent first outing, going 8-13 for 10th overall. Look out for big things from these guys!

Tarah & Sarah!
Posted by: Brink | Wednesday, August 8, 2007
LAKE FOREST, Calif. (August 6, 2007) – etnies Girl would like to congratulate motocross team rider Tarah Gieger on winning the Loretta Lynn Amateur National Motocross Championships in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., over the weekend. Gieger slayed the competition and is well on her way to securing her first victory at the Women’s Motocross Association (WMA) Championships later this month.
Gieger first began riding seven years ago and is now one of the fastest women in motocross in the world. In 2004 she had her biggest season to-date placing second overall in the WMA Nationals.

etnies Girl would also like to congratulate team rider Sarah Whitmore who placed 4th at the event this past weekend. The next stop for both riders is the WMA Round 6 Championship in Steel City, Pa. on Aug. 25-26.

Twitch! Loza! Potter! Ping! Langston! X Games Medal Madness!
Posted by: Brink | Monday, August 6, 2007
Whoooowheee...
Kyle Loza dropping the Volt for Gold and Todd Potter nabbing a Bronze with his Kiss of Death in Best Trick!? Siiiick!
And how about Twitch winning the Bronze in Freestyle? His run was amazing. I even saw him chilling with his new etnies pro model around his neck on the course. Stay tuned for sequences from Twitch's run! For now, check the flix. I got to watch Twitch practice on Friday (the photos where he's wearing blue and white) and the finals photos are him wearing the white and red jersey. Deegan was killing it in Step Up! He just barely tagged the bar on his way down at 33ft. If they gave out other medals in Step Up he would have won Silver....
On the racing side of X Games, Grant Langston and David Pingree both won Bronze medals, Langston in Moto X and Ping in Supermoto! Some of the photos are blurry. I'm a total moto photo am! Better than nothing right?
UPDATE - We just added a huge photo gallery of everything moto from X Games. Check it!
