Tim Ferry Wins at Washougal!
Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, July 31, 2007
- Tim Ferry

- Grant Langston
Tim Ferry got is first overall win in 6 years this weekend at Washougal! Timmy finished 2nd in moto 1 behind his Kawasaki teammate James Stewart. Moto 2 started out with Stewart going down in the first turn, Ferry somewhere are around 7th and etnies' Grant Langston taking the early lead.
Langston started to check out from the pack. Ferry made his way up to 3rd place towards the end of moto 2 while Stewart crashed out of the race. By this time everyone had their calculators out trying to figure out who would get the overall win. As things stood with Langston in 1st, Windham 2nd and Ferry 3rd, Langston was going to win the overall! But when the white flag came out Windham thought it was the checkered flag and started to pull off the track! Craziness! So, Tim Ferry passed Windham to take over second and with those extra points he had enough for the overall win! Sucks for Langston, great for Ferry. Either way etnies riders go 1-2 in the Motocross class! Congrats guys.
Check out Timmy's post-race interview at Racer X.
Motocross Overall Results:

2. Grant Langston 4-1

4. Kevin Windham 6-3
5. Mike Alessi 5-7

The 11th Hour
Posted by: Brink | Monday, July 30, 2007The following is a letter from Leonardo DiCaprio about the new upcoming film, The 11th Hour, that features Sole Technology, etnies and etnies owner and president, Pierre Andre Senizergues. Stay tuned for more info and eco-tips in the etnies Seed Project blog soon!
Friends,
I am writing to tell you about my new environmental film, “The 11th Hour.” The film documents the environmental crises we face and the solutions we must begin to implement.
Please take a look at the above.
With the help of over fifty of the world's most prominent thinkers and activists, including reformer Mikhail Gorbachev, physicist Stephen Hawking, and Nobel Prize winner Wangari Maathai, “The 11th Hour” documents the grave problems facing the planet's life systems. Global warming, deforestation, mass species extinction, and depletion of the oceans' habitats are all addressed.
However, the most powerful element of “The 11th Hour” is not a portrait of a planet in crisis, but an offering of hope and solutions. The film ends with a call for restorative action through reshaping human activity.
“The 11th Hour” is opening on August 17th in New York and Los Angeles. On the 24th it opens in other cities, and in the following weeks across the country. It would be great if you could go see it and bring a friend. You can go to www.11thhouraction.com to get more information on the movie and when it will play near you.
We need the message of this movie to hit as far and wide as possible.
The hope is us. Let's begin.
Thank You,
Leonardo DiCaprio
P.S. Please feel free to use the code to embed the trailer on your website!

Ferry and Lawrence in the Podium!
Posted by: Cropley | Monday, July 16, 2007
Congrats to Tim Ferry on placing second overall in the 450F class this weekend at Unadilla! In moto one Ferry was riding strong and it looked like he was going to finish the moto in third, but he tipped over on the final lap and finished in fifth place. “I just tipped over in the first moto,” said Ferry. “That was about as mad as I have been in between motos for a long time. I told those guys in the truck that I was going to win the second moto.” And Ferry did just that! With a little anger, and plenty of motivation, Ferry moved through the pack with ease, got by the early leaders and took the lead, holding on for his first moto win of the year and his best overall finish of second place!
