Superbike Racers Show up to a Mulisha Demo
Posted by: Cropley | Monday, April 30, 2007

- Cheesy
Deegan, Potter, Fluffer, Garland and their Rockstar/Metal Mulisha demos stole the show at Superbike in Fontana over the weekend. Pretty sure people were more pumped on the fmx show than all the big races that were goin' on!
Now that everyone is on the same looking Rockstar bikes and Astars gear for these shows, it's pretty hard to tell who's who (besides Fluffer being the only dork not rocking etnies), so their different goggle sponsors is the biggest giveaway, ie. Electric, Dragon and Von Zipper. Check out the photo gallery and have fun figuring it out!

- In between shows it was all about Guitar Hero. Garland, Potter and Tedesco are fuckin' pros!
The guys have a ton of these Rockstar demos lined up around the country this year so make sure to look out for one near you.

- This RC car aired out the 80' ramp and over cleared it!

- They wanted interviews for yfly.com... not sure what it even is...anyone use it?

- Deegs was also doing some filming for the West Coast Customs reality show...

A ton more photos in the photo gallery... enjoy.

Ryan Morais Second in Lites East Championship!
Posted by: Cropley | Monday, April 23, 2007

Congrats to Ryan Morais for taking second place in the Supercross Lites East Championship. Ryan went into the final round in Detroit with a three point lead. Unfortunately, after a solid second place start to the main event, Ryan stalled his 250F on the second lap. That unlucky mistake cost Ryan some valuable positions and had him battling back from 10th place. Ryan rode strong and made it back up to fifth place by the end of the race, but it wasn't quite enough for the championship and he would have to settle for second overall.
None the less, second place in the stacked East series is damn good and we're stoked for you.

East Coast Supercross Final! Who Will Win?
Posted by: Cropley | Thursday, April 19, 2007
Well, it's finally come down to the final round of the East Coat Lites series and none other than Yamaha of Troy rider Ryan Morais is in the points lead! But by no means is it going to be a walk in the park for Morais to win the championship.
There are a few different situations in which Morais could win or lose the championship, but the bottom line is that Townley cannot win and Morais has to finish in front of, or only one position behind Townley. It's going to be tight, but we know he can pull it off! Good Luck!
Points Standings going into Detroit

2. Ben Townley 111

3 Minutes, 25 Seconds with... Grant Langston

Why was the the music in the store cutting out? I don't know, it's just weird like that.
Ocotillo Wells Closing? Don't Let it Happen!
Posted by: Cropley | Wednesday, April 11, 2007
ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP 14,731 ACRES OF OFF-ROAD RIDING AREAS FOR GEOTHERMAL POWER DEVELOPMENT?
The San Diego Off-Road Coalition needs all off-roaders to act now. There is grave danger to one of our favorite riding areas.
The Federal Bureau of Land Management wants to lease 14,731 acres of prime off-road land to companies to build geothermal energy plants. Over 80% of the land is inside the Ocotillo Wells SVRA. The remaining acres are just east of Pole Line road and have traditionally been enjoyed for off-roading.
Part of this is the area where the etnies rig always parks, where countless video parts and photos have been shot for your favorite videos and mags, and where events like Red Bull Ride to the Hills and the etnies Two Wheel Tour have taken place. All that could be a thing of the past if this goes through....
It is critical that off-road enthusiasts send their WRITTEN COMMENTS to the BLM to oppose this project.
Also, read this Cycle News article on the subject.
If you value OCOTILLO WELLS you need to take the time to mail a comment and get ALL YOUR FRIENDS to do the same.

DO IT NOW - DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE!
The San Diego Off-Road Magazine has excellent guidelines for action. Written comments mailed have the most effect, so sit down, write and send your comments today. Written comments are being taken until April 30.

The Battle for the Miss Supercross Crown!
Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, April 10, 2007It has come to our attention that there is only one week left to vote for who you would like to be Miss Supercross 2008! This is very important because the winner of this competition will be on the podium at ever Supercross next year, so, obviously, she has to be really HOT!
Last month we put our support behind Crystal L. who is indeed a worthy candidate. We dig her comment about only wearing her Vans in the mud...but where did all the love go? No more blog and MySpace comments? It's been a month. It hurts.
But alas, a new contender has arose from the depths of MySpace. She's blonde, she's rides, she leaves us MySpace comments, and her last name also starts with 'L'! Sara L.!
We're not turning our back on Crystal L., no way. We're just giving you another hot option. If you're into brunettes vote for Crystal L. If you're into blondies vote for Sara L.
Whatever your choice, we think either one would look hot on the podium next to all the etnies riders that are sure to be up there in '08!

- Sara L.

- Crystal L.
You decide.

Ferry on the Podium Yet Again!
Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, April 3, 2007Tim Ferry is the man! Over the weekend in Texas he finished third place for his fifth podium appearance of the Supercross season! With three races to go, Ferry is in third overall for the championship points and has a 41 point lead over Windham in fourth!

In the Lites class, Ryan Morais posted another solid result in fourth place and still holds the points lead. The only thing is that his closest competition, Ben Townley, won the race and closed his points lead to only three points going in to the final 250F East round! This is gunna be close!
Supercross is taking a week off for the Easter holiday and will be back April 21 in Detroit to crown the 250F East Coast Champion! We think Morais can pull it off, no problem!
