Deegan and the Nationals

Posted by: Cropley | Friday, April 28, 2006

As you may have read on Racer X just the other day, Brian Deegan got his AMA pro license and will be racing the AMA Outdoor Nationals this year! Deegan raced the Outdoors and Supercross back in the day before he started doing the freestyle thing, and he even won a 125 Supercross and scored some top five finishes outdoors.

etnies TM Matt Chapman went out to Perris Raceway on Wednesday with Deegan to get in some practice laps in preparation for the upcoming Hangtown outdoor opener. Will Deegs qualify? We think so--Chapman said he was hauling ass!

Jammin' In Houston

Posted by: Cropley | Wednesday, April 26, 2006

Garland, Potter and Fluffer were out in Austin, Texas last weekend doing a demo at an auto show, they even won this big-ass trophy for “Best Attraction at the Show”...or something like that.

Here’s what Garland had to say about the trip: “On the streets of Austin we found plenty of guys jamming out (music) the night before the show. Austin is a sweet town on a Friday night, but I kept getting denied from the bars with no ID, so it was an early night for me.”

“The night after the show we all got completely smashed at a club called "the drink". It was all good ‘til I missed the flight at 8am the next morning, I couldn’t get out of there till 6pm the next day…but it was all worth it.”

Nick Wey On The Podium!

Posted by: Cropley | Monday, April 24, 2006

Congrats to Nick Wey on his big third place finish this weekend at the Dallas Supercross and beating out factory riders like Ivan Tedesco, Michael Byrne and even Ricky Carmichael.

Nick is way out in front in the top privateer standings and is a shoo-in for the sweet top privateer prizes including a 2006 Toyota Tundra, 2006 Weekend Warrior trailer and $25,000 CASH! Also, Nick is the only privateer to get on the podium all year and sits in fifth place for the overall Supercross season points! Congrats!

Check out the new etnies Nick Wey wallpaper in the wallpapers section.

Deegan & Nicky Hilton In Maxim

Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Go pick up the April '06 issue of Maxim. Besides the obvious that the mag is filled with photos of the hottest half-naked babes in the world—which is reason enough to steal one from your neighbor's mail box—well, now Deegan is featured in a new Sobe No Fear Gold ad taking hotel heiress/hot-piece-of-ass Nicky Hilton for the ride of her life. Check it out.

Look Ma, One Hand!

While browsing MySpace (during a lunch break, I swear) I found this photo of Todd Potter riding off a ramp one handed. I'm guessing it was followed by a bar-solid or something sweet like that...Potter is nuts.

If you're a hot babe with a nice set of...umm...personality, you should add him as a friend. And if you use the "angles" in your photos, cut it out, we know what you're up to... the truth about MySpace....

Racer X Ride Day

Posted by: Cropley | Monday, April 10, 2006
Lunch time in the hills...it kind of looks like the scene from the default Windows wallpaper, but way better!
Nick Wey was out there burnin' some laps.

RacerX hosted their third-annual Racer X Ride Day in the amazing green hills of Castillo Ranch, just north of Santa Barbara, CA. There is only one way I can think of to describe Castillo ranch: it’s Disneyland for dirt bikes. If the name wasn’t already taken by Mike Metzger I’d suggest calling it Paradise Ranch.

Thanks to the guys at RacerX for inviting us out for an awesome afternoon of riding and tacos. The dirt was perfect (though muddy in a couple sections), the hills were green, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday at "work". The six-and-a-half hour drive home through LA traffic could't even put a damper on the trip because, well, now I can say I rode at Castillo Ranch!

We should have a new Wallpaper or two for y'all by today or tomorrow, so check back. In the meantime check out these shots:

Houston SX & East Coast Results

Posted by: Cropley | Wednesday, April 5, 2006
Photo: Transworld

Having started off the night with a heat race win and advancing directly to the main, Josh Grant was all set to make a run at the East Championship. Going into this final round in Houston Josh was the only other rider with a chance at taking the championship from the points leader, Millsaps. Josh was almost guaranteed second place overall if all went well. But just when you think everything is going smooth, well, sometimes a monkey wrench gets thrown in the spokes and all hell breaks loose! In this case, the "monkey wrench" hit the "spokes" when Josh collided with another rider on the first lap of the main, resulting in a hole in the side of his engine and a DNF, therefore ending his chance at the championship and costing him second in the points standings.

Josh’s misfortune sucks, but it was a great night for his etnies SoBe/Samsung/Honda teammate, Tommy Hahn, who rode to second place behind Millsaps, his best showing this season.

Also, big congratulations to etnies Team Green rider Teddy Maier who placed eighth place overall in the East series points in his first year of racing Supercross. Check out his interview in Racer X from last month. What about Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy pilot Branden Jesseman took fifth overall!
