Old Photo Memories

Posted by: Cropley | Wednesday, October 19, 2005

About a year ago Sgt. Rambutt broke into the MM compound. He escaped capture and even had enough time to air it out on Deegan's dirt sickle. This is the only photo we got of him. If you see Sgt. Rambutt in public proceed with extreme caution, his one-leggers can be deadly.

Trigger's Baja Trail Ride

Posted by: Cropley | Tuesday, October 18, 2005
Known for doing wheelies down crowded San Clemente beaches in a clown suit, Trigger is seen here busting berm shots down a deserted beach in Baja.
Chillin' at a 300 year old mission in the middle of Baja

Trigger Gumm, myself and Cameron Steele took a four day trip down to Baja last week. We did about 850 miles of riding from Estero Beach down to Loreto. Thanks to Trail Boss Tours for the great time and Danny for hooking it up. Here’s a couple photos…

Trigg's always gettin' caught with his pants down! Weird.

Twitch Second Overall At The Dew

Posted by: Cropley | Monday, October 17, 2005

Twitch came into the final Dew Tour event in the lead, but a back injury he got from coming up short during practice the day before slightly hindered his performance during the final. Twitch’s injury mixed with some other factors out of his control, led to Twitch receiving fifth place at the final event and second place for the entire Dew Tour. Congrats Twitch on a kick ass season!

Just a teaser...

It must be the time of the year for new web sites, Metal Mulisha did a long overdue overhaul on their website. Check it out, but remember who told you. Oh yeah, No Fear has a fresh web site also. Is flash is the new black? One more for all you skate dorks that are lurking in moto world, éS launched their new site, like, minutes ago.

Make sure the mailman doesn’t steal your RacerX or TransworldMX this month because the etnies ad of Twitch is sick! I know my damn mail man looks through my mags before I get to see them every month, I just can’t prove it! And he still keeps dropping off bills, what a dick.

Léonard Accorsi
From drawings to abstract paintings, the work of this impassioned artist is the result of a tragic-comic view of the world. Léo possesses a unique vision that is represented in his work; black yet not dark, opinionated yet unbiased, the work of this snowboarder is an open door into the imagination of daily life.

Josh Hansen rode a good race for being off all season with limited testing time, he got second place behind Metcalfe on night one and sixth place night two for second overall. etnies riders went 1-2-3 on night one; Metcalfe, Hansen, and Billy Laninovich. Mike Brown rounded out the top five for the first night on his new Rockstar/Bill's Pipes/Suzuki and seventh in night two for seventh overall.

Fresh out of the amateur ranks, Jake Weimer is the newest member of the Amsoil/Chaparral/Honda team and he made a huge statement in his professional debut. US Open of Supercross

Posted by: Cropley | Thursday, October 6, 2005
Chad Reed will not be defending his US Open title so he can heal up and be ready for the entire Supercross season.

Supercross is back! Although AMA Supercross doesn’t actually start until January and the World Supercross in December, the US Open of Supercross marks the start of the long Supercross season. The best riders in the world converge on Las Vegas for an all-out battle at the MGM for the $300,000 in prize money and to see where they stand against the competition for the upcoming season.

The racing will be all-time, and if you can’t be there to see it live and in person be sure to tune into the U.S. Open Live Audio Webcast to listen live.

The Webcast schedule is as follows:

  • Thursday, October 6 – Noon - 2:00PM PST
  • Friday, October 7 – 7:30PM PST
  • Saturday, October 8 – 7:30PM PST

This year’s race will air on NBC for the second consecutive season on October 23 from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. EST.

Twitch Second At LG Action Sports

Posted by: Cropley | Monday, October 3, 2005
............<----------------------------------- 110 feet --------------------------------------->

Twitch came out to Pomona, CA for the third year of the LG Action Sports Championships and a chance at the $30,000 that goes to the winner. And for the third year in a row, Twitch got second. Not too shabby, but still no the 30 G's.

Potter on the wall ride

Practice at the event was bad-ass! Almost every rider was on the course at one point sessioning the wall ride and the jumps at the same time. Todd Potter and Twitch owned the wall ride! Both were doing one handed wall rides and twitch did a can-can wall ride to can-can landing, while Potter set the high tire mark on the wall for the whole event. With the wall ride, the 110 footer and the Freeride Technology ramp jumps, the course was good and the riders were pretty happy for the most part.

In the night show Twitch floundered his first run and had a dead sailor or two. But for run two Twitch came out swinging and pulled off second place with some huge flip combos, landing one handed a couple times, and an overall smooth run. Congrats Twitch!
.

Check out the etnies MotoX Photo Gallery for a ton of pics from the event.
