Brian Deegan and Chad Reed Nominated for ESPNs Best Male Action Sports Athlete!
Posted by: Mike Matz | Monday, June 28, 2004On June 21, ESPN announced nominees for 38 ESPY categories, out of those, etnies very own Brian Deegan and Chad Reed were nominated as Best Male Action Sports Male Athlete. Winners of the category are selected by the fans via ESPN. Deegan and Reed need your votes to win!
The polls close on July 9 and the winners will be announced during at the awards on July 14. ESPN will be telecasting the ESPY Awards on July 18 at 9:00 p.m ET.
So, stop what youre doing, put on your spikes and take a moment to vote for Deegan or Reed as the Best Male Action Sports Athlete.

Brian Deegan, Dan Pastor, Clifford Adoptante, Garland, Choad, Ox and Fluffer came to the etnies office for a lunchtime BBQ. Deegan presented etnies CEO Pierre Andr Senizergues with his one-of-a-kind CR 250 built by Jesse James. The bike was put on eBay to raise money for the Chris Ackerman recovery fund and Pierre bought the bike to help Chris. All the boys were stoked to come down and show their support for Chris and grab some food along the way. Thanks again, Pierre!
The Crusty Global Assault Tour kicks off in the U.S. next week in Phoenix on June 22 and will run through July 22. For more info, check out www.crusty.com Brian Deegan, Seth Enslow, Dan Pastor, Twitch, Dayne Kinnaird and Mike Jones are some of the etnies riders that will be on the tour.
Chad Reed finished 2nd at last weekend's National with a 2-2. Hes tied for 2nd in the national point standings.
Tim Ferry rode last weekend after sitting out a couple races due to a thumb injury he钒s been having problems with. He finished 5th after going 5-9.
Mike Brown finished 2nd in the 125 class this weekend. Hes in 2nd place in the points race for the national title.

Posted by: Mike Matz | Tuesday, June 8, 2004Tommy Hayden pulled off the third double win of his career, taking the Pro Honda Oils Supersport race after earlier winning the Repsol Superstock at Road America. The win gives Hayden a 24 point cushion on his brother, Roger Lee, 5th today. With five of the eleven rounds remaining, Tommy has 200 to Roger Lees 176. Hacking is 3rd with 173.
The Moto guys had the weekend off and will get back to it next weekend at Southwick.
The Freestyle boys are ripping up Australia for the Crusty Demons Global Assault tour. The first U.S. show will be on June 22 in Phoenix, Arizona. The U.S. tour will run through July 22 and end in Greenville, South Carolina. For more info, go to www.crusty.com
Jake Zemke finished the Chevrolet Superbike with a 2nd and 3rd last weekend at Road America in Wisconsin. Jake also finished 2nd in the Formula Xtreme race.
